Customers never pay us a cent. Mowers pay a commission only when a job is paid. Founding partners pay nothing for their first 3 months, counted from their first paid job, and the 10% + GST after that is locked until 31 December 2027.

For comparison, gig-task apps take about 20%, franchise mowers pay ongoing franchise fees, and lead-gen sites bill per lead whether you win the job or not.
Extras: what the guide adds to a visit
A standard visit is the mow, the edges and a blow-down. Tick an extra on your listing and the live guide adds roughly this on top. Mowers price extras themselves, so bids will sit around these numbers rather than on them, and a big hedge or a two-storey gutter run costs more than the guide.

The fine print
Mowers are independent businesses contracting directly with you. Mowie is the marketplace. We check ABNs, run payments through Stripe, hold the rules (photo before payment, reviews only from paid jobs) and step in if something goes wrong. We never hold your money. It goes from your card to the mower, with our commission taken out on the way.
Fees for mowers are set out in full in the vendor terms. Mowers who are GST-registered handle GST on their own price. Most solo operators under the $75k threshold aren't registered, and their bid is the price.
Paying with NDIS funding? The fees don't change: nothing for you, and the mower's price is the whole price. Mowie is a general lawn mowing marketplace, not an NDIS provider, and it never handles plan funds.
