Before you list: three things worth telling a mower about a Noble Park North lawn

  • Keep the strip under Greater Dandenong's suggested 100 mm; an unsightly-property notice can end with the council doing the work at your cost.
  • Backing onto the cemetery edge or EastLink? Say what the boundary is made of and what blows over it.
  • Fortnightly green bin here, so on a fast-growing lawn tell the mower if the clippings are for the bin or the trailer.

Noble Park North lawn mowing questions

How much does lawn mowing cost in Noble Park North?+

For one cut of a standard 180 m² lawn in Noble Park North the model's answer is $100-$145. That is the medium-lawn guide; the mowers see your block's measured lawn and quote on it.

How short does Greater Dandenong want the nature strip in Noble Park North?+

No more than 100 mm is the council's recommendation, and residents must keep the strip maintained regularly. The council itself mows only when public safety is at risk, and an unsightly strip draws a compliance notice first, then work at the owner's cost. Pruning the street tree is the council's job.

What is under a Noble Park North lawn?+

There is no district note on the ground here. If your lawn sets hard by February or stays soft through winter, say so in the listing; a photo of the lawn today does more than any district guess.

About Noble Park North

The parent suburb's story starts about 1909, when Allan Buckley subdivided his holdings for market gardens and the district took the name of his son, Noble Buckley: a school in 1911, a church in 1912, a railway stopping place and hall in 1913, then rapid residential development through the 1950s and 60s after Noble Park was severed from Dandenong Shire in 1955. Noble Park North's own schools came later: Silverton Primary and Carwatha College about 1976, Noble Park North Primary in 1979, Nazareth College about 1986. Parts were previously in the former City of Dandenong and City of Springvale. The RACV head office stands along the Princes Highway.

Nothing written about Noble Park North describes the ground or names a park, so your listing does the describing. Take the photo the wizard asks for, add whether the grass is at the front, the back or both ends, whether it slopes, and where the mower gets in; the aerial measurement gives the area. Greater Dandenong asks the resident to keep the strip maintained and suggests grass no taller than 100 mm; it mows a strip itself only when public safety is at risk, and the street trees are its own, about 55,000 of them pruned every two years. Its 240 L organics bin, green lid, is emptied fortnightly; the garden service inside the standard bin options is $121 a year.
